Reopening Your Business: Timing, Considerations, and Employment Law
As states and local governments begin to relax and, eventually discontinue, stay home requirements, smart employers will be considering how to re-open their offices and facilities safely. This implicates a number of longstanding employment laws, as well as the new laws and orders that have been enacted and issued in response to the Coronavirus outbreak. The EEOC, CDC, and other government and health organizations also have issued guidance and other resources on this.
On May 8, 2020, Colin A. Walker and Michelle Friends, with Fairfield and Woods, P.C., presented a webinar to nearly 300 HR and business professionals in the Colorado SHRM community about the legal issues regarding returning to work in the wake of the Coronavirus outbreak. Resources from the webinar as well as a Reopening Your Business toolkit are available for your reference below.
