By Colin A. Walker, Fairfield and Woods, P.C.

Yesterday, the U.S. Department of Labor published temporary regulations regarding the Families First Coronavirus Response Act (“FFCRA”). The regulations are issued pursuant to the emergency powers granted by the FFCRA. They provide detailed information on many issues relating to the FFCRA including intermittent leave, documentation an employer may request and an employee is required to provide to substantiate the need for leave, and employee notice requirements. The temporary regulations will be in effect from April 1, 2020 to December 31, 2020.

The temporary regulations can be found here.
